By confirming a booking with Holdall Holidays, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following Terms & Conditions.


1. About Holdall Holidays


Holdall Holidays is an inbound tour operator in Sri Lanka, operating in compliance with the regulations of the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA). We provide destination management services including accommodation bookings, transportation, excursions, tour guides, and other ground handling arrangements.


2. Bookings & Confirmation


  • * All bookings must be confirmed in writing (email or official booking confirmation).
  • * A booking is considered confirmed only upon receipt of the required deposit.
  • * All rates are subject to availability and final confirmation at the time of booking.


3. Payments


  • * Deposit: 50% of the total tour cost is required to confirm the booking.
  • * Balance Payment: The remaining balance must be paid 30 days prior to arrival in Sri Lanka.
  • * For peak travel periods, special events, or selected hotels and services, full prepayment may be required.
  • * All bank transfer fees and transaction charges must be borne by the client.

  • Failure to make payments within the specified timelines may result in automatic cancellation of services with applicable charges.


4. Cancellation Policy


All cancellations must be communicated in writing. The following cancellation charges apply unless otherwise stated in the booking confirmation:


  • 60–30 days prior to arrival: 50% of the total deposit will be charged
  • Less than 30 days prior to arrival / No-show: 100% of the deposit will be forfeited

Please note that certain hotels, peak season bookings, and special services may have stricter cancellation policies, which will be clearly advised at the time of booking.


5. Amendments to Bookings


  • Any changes to confirmed bookings are subject to availability.
  • Additional costs, amendment fees, or cancellation charges imposed by service providers will be passed on to the client.

6. Prices & Surcharges


  • * Prices are quoted in GBP or USD, unless otherwise stated.
  • * Rates may be subject to change due to government tax revisions, fuel surcharges, or significant currency fluctuations.
  • * Any applicable price changes will be communicated as soon as reasonably possible.

  • 7. Travel Documents & Visas


    Clients are solely responsible for ensuring that they hold valid passports, visas, and all required travel documents. Holdall Holidays shall not be held responsible for delays, denied entry, or additional costs arising from incorrect or incomplete documentation.


8. Insurance, Health & Safety


  • * Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, evacuation, and trip cancellation is strongly recommended for all travelers.
  • * Participation in adventure, wildlife, or outdoor activities is undertaken at the client’s own risk.
  • * Clients must inform Holdall Holidays of any medical conditions, allergies, or special requirements at the time of booking.

9. Liability & Responsibility


Holdall Holidays acts solely as an agent for hotels, transport operators, and activity providers. We shall not be liable for:

  • * Delays, cancellations, or service failures caused by third-party suppliers
  • * Loss, damage, injury, illness, or death resulting from circumstances beyond our control

Our maximum liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount paid to Holdall Holidays for the specific services concerned.


10. Force Majeure


Holdall Holidays shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, political unrest, pandemics, strikes, or government actions.


11. Client Conduct


Clients are expected to respect the laws, customs, culture, and environment of Sri Lanka. Holdall Holidays reserves the right to terminate services without refund in the event of illegal, disruptive, or inappropriate behavior.


12. Complaints & Feedback


Any complaints or issues must be reported immediately to our local representative or guide to allow prompt resolution. Written complaints must be submitted within 14 days of completion of the tour.


13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction


These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
